League of Legends ( LoL ) is a video game released in of type online battle arena, free-to-play , developed and published by Riot Games on Windows And Mac OS.
The main mode of the game sees two teams of five players compete in real-time in matches lasting approximately half an hour, with each team occupying and defending their own base on the map. Each of the ten players controls a character from among the 167 available. These characters, known as "champions" in the game, have unique skills and a playstyle of their own. They gain power throughout the game by amassing experience points as well as by purchasing objects, with the aim of beating the opposing team. The objective of a game is to destroy the enemy "Nexus," a large structure located in the center of each base. Other game modes, generally less competitive and almost always based on the main mode, are also present — with the exception of Teamfight Tactics , a auto battler released in with little relation to the main mode and which has its own community.
